Our language program is not reaching the community

Our language program is not reaching the community. Cowichan Tribes do not apply for the First People heritage Language and culture council (FPHLCC) for program dollars.

There are many funding programs that can be applied in language and the arts that add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars to put into our culture and language programs.

They have these meetings for the past few years and very little in the way of outcomes that reach our community.

Many people are afraid that we will lose our language.

Question:  What do you think could be done to save our language?
